When I flew out of Vegas, I had a layover in Phoenix. It was strange. I had never been to Sky Harbor Airport without it being my destination. Terminal C, offered a fantastic view of Shadow Mountain. It was quite depressing. Memories of Nick and I riding up there swamped my thoughts. Many good times were shared up on that dusty landmass. I miss riding. I wish there were some solid downhill runs out here. If my summer wasn’t already overbooked, I would make a trip to Keystone or Park City… Anyway, bikes make me happy. I truly wish I didn’t have to rely on a car. Cars suck. So does Gas. I’m going to ride more – as a mode of transportation and for fun. Here are some rad flicks of riding…. This first one is of Nick riding down the “Waterfall”, it’s on South Mountain. This picture doesn’t do this drop any justice, it’s gnarly. I miss the adrenaline of flying down this section…
I had forgotten that we had an interoffice – in the office – time trial event last summer. I also forgot that for a consecutive 30 days I tried to wear a name tag – as seen in said photo. I never did. Maybe I will try that experiment again; next week might be a good time to start. How Funny…
Can you believe the Left Field Project RIGHT TO LEFT show begins next Friday? I can’t. North Carolina here I come! Tonight I will have the flier done and you will start seeing that plastered everywhere.
I found one of my L’s last night! That was an exciting moment.
I’ve changed some of the “iconic” subjects in my paintings, it’s for the best. I’m pleased with the new direction and now, with seeing a few of the pieces complete – I am totally happy about them. Random note – I love when you use “had had” in a sentence. I also like watches, what I hate about watches, is that my digital watches: Casio, Diesel and Nixon all have different ways to change the time/date. It usually takes me about 3.25 minutes to remember how to navigate each unique interface. I also like flowers, reading, being brisk and random. I finished I LOVE YOU BETH COOPER last night, it’s a fun light read – I recommend.
Currently listening to “In this Diary” – The Ataris
I had a BLT for lunch from BILLY’S and I am drinking Evian water, how posh of me.
Go live life and ride a bike off a cliff, it’s fun.
*Regarding the title of this blog – it’s a subtle reminder.
It’s one of the worst mistakes you can make when you are bombing down a run, in between sprints, your quads are burning and all you want to do is take a little break, so you bring your pedal down for just a second. oops.
Keep the pedals flat…
