Cruising around the wired.com site today, I came across a few very interesting things. The article titled Garden Sustainably had some great thoughts on building your own vegi empire.

So, you’ve started your first garden. Perhaps some tomatoes, zucchini, other vegetables and herbs? Maybe even a few flower beds for color? You’ll save a chunk of change on groceries, but your initial investment required to get your garden started was likely quite a bit of money. Soil, soil conditioner, mulch, plants, fertilizer and more — it adds up quickly.

A fantastic article and I highly recommend the read if you are like us and are beginning the journey into all that is “gardening.” However, I found this following line to be the most interesting thing about WIRED today:
This article is part of a wiki anyone can edit. Got extra advice for greening up your desk at work? Log in and contribute.”

The evolution of print to web is so intriguing. I enjoy looking on as publications use simple ideas to reinvent the industry. Bravo Wired.
Innovation is a beautiful thing and I admire those that harness it’s power. I am amazed by how many new ideas I see every day and think to myself “I should have seen that coming.” So simple. It’s been right under my nose the whole time. To be successful with new ideas, you must be open your mind. Because of egos, most great ideas never see the light of day. If your intentions are to be innovative: Be sure to bring the right people to the table. I encourage bringing in people from other industries, you are more likely to get fresh/innovative concepts from those far removed from your business.
