I’m sitting here working on a few things on my house. Outside, across the street, my neighbors have propped up two folding chairs and are currently staring at their porch. Well, it’s their soon to be porch. In between sips of lemonade, they work slowly on measuring, placing, painting, smiling, drilling, cutting and sawing. They’ve been working together on this project for weeks. Only sitting her now, it occurs to me that perhaps I should have taken photos of their project. But it’s best this way. Just use your imagination….
He wears khaki slacks, a white tee shirt – which is tucked in, a fancy safari looking hat (which he only wears when the sun is beaming down directly on him), a very useful carpentry tool belt and a warm smile. His uniform is almost the same every single day. She usually wears shorts, a tank top and some white kicks. She is rather fond of the Mister and I can tell that she thinks he is the most amazing man that has ever walked this earth. They are always working together. Once the day has come to an end, they sit in their chairs and stare at what they have accomplished. They sit there for hours… It’s adorable.
