My friend and Tulsa neighbor Chris Dodge opened up a burger joint a few weeks ago and it is incredible. By far the best burger spot east of the Los Angeles river. Imagine if Fat Burger and Five Guys had an illegitimate child and that child moved to Tulsa, then imagine that child figured out how to be even better… That is Fat Guy’s.
We went for lunch a few weeks back and I was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the restaurant’s interior. Top notch all around. The burger was so delicious, tasty, classic, messy, colorful and heavenly, that it inspired me. I asked Chris if I could come back one night after they closed, set up my lights and shoot some photos. He was down. I went back last week and Chris made me a triple cheese and bacon burger. Definitely the best subject I have ever worked with. Here is the first photo from that series.
