Have I told you that Rebecca bought me a Venus Fly Trap? She did, and it is awesome! I’ve always wanted a carnivorous plant. I’d like to eventually add a Dionaea muscipula to our collection. [Dionaea muscipula = 'Akai Ryu', Japanese for 'Red Dragon'] The little plant is quite brilliant and I enjoy studying it. Sadly, we don’t have flies in our loft, so our little fly trap [whom we have named "Leon"] doesn’t get much action.

Have you ever been to Arkansas? I have. A few times now. I’m typically heading that way for work, I rip right through the state and make my way to Little Rock. It’s always a quick trip, we arrive on set, shoot, wrap up production and head home. However, last weekend I had my first vacation to Arkansas. My wife and her mother and her aunt and I drove to Mountain View to visit the ground from which her mother’s family descended. It’s a truly beautiful place.

Tulsa has only a few events that I look forward to every year, the Tulsa Tough is one of them. The Tulsa Tough is a three day road race which attracts many international competitors and young up-and-comers. The roadie mayhem begins Friday night and goes through Sunday. My favorite event is Friday night, where racers navigate the course under the lights of our beautiful downtown skyline. Rumor has it racers average around 40 mph.
